KSA |01 Communication

.Linked to the image on the left is an outline for a presentation I gave on 4/9/13. My objective for this KSA was to be able to speak confidently, clearly, and concisely at WABC's monthly marketing meetings. I was evaluated based on my body language, confidence level, and deliverance of the material. I used this outline to practice my presentation and to stay on topic while speaking. Ultimately this increased my confidence and resulted in a higher presentation score. To me this shows that I am able to summarize information into a well constructed presentation of the main issues of importance. In the future I will continue to outline my thoughts to present and continue to practice well in advance.

KSA |02 Leadership & Teamwork

In order to focus on my goals my objectives were to go above and beyond to learn how to enhance the brand of WABC, and to investigate other obstacles of marketing. My strategies to do this included speaking with marketing professors, investigating other companies and their corporate strategy and going to the library to research the best way to build the brand of an accounting firm. I created a marketing plan linked to the picture to the right and it illustrates how I have attempted to thoroughly research WABC's competitors. This means that I am capable of doing a competitor analysis effectively. In the future I can use what I have gained from creating a marketing plan to improve operations.

KSA |03 Employability

I chose to focus on assuming responsibility for one's own career management and goal setting. My objective was to spend approximately 2 hours a week focusing on my desired career after graduation. In order to achieve this objective I researched various companies in my field, and completed a checklist of the things I would like to do by a certain time. My supervisor evaluated my progress reviewing my notes ad making suggestions on how I am progressing towards career management. KSA |Thinking: Critical and Creative

I chose to be able to develop comprehensive, justified conclusions and recommendations using qualitive and quantitative as a KSA to focus on. My objective was to use quantitave data based on social networking sites of local accounting firms to show how this can help to gain clients and how WABC can improve its marketing strategies. To do this I looked at how many followers each firm has and the amount of posts they make on average. My supervisor evaluated my performance by checking if each area that the company needed improvement was matched with a quantitive comparison of another firm. This skill shows that I am capable of generating feasible alternatives. Linked to the picture to the left is an example of my critical and creative skills.
